Over the last 12 years, Travis Price, an architecture professor from Washington DC, has been building mythological portals in remote areas of Mayo and even remoter areas around the world under the title Spirit of Place. From a star-gazing temple at Machu Picchu to sacred shrines on the Mayo coastline, these otherworldly locations provide a stunning insight into the past. 2005 - 'The Children of Lir' - A tale of 900 years told in sculpted land. Caraigh Taigh.
