Enniscrone, the Fr Payton Centre, and Lough Talt over the Ox Mountains

Experience the endless beauty of North Mayo in a trek around the rural and urban sights. Starting out in historic Ballina and making our way through Enniscrone and Fr Peyton, we will complete our tour amongst the amazing landscape of Lough Talt and the Ox Mountains.
Tour Features:
Ballina & Bunree
We’ll start in Ballina and wind our way through the amazing photo opportunities at the Quay Road and Bunree. Along the way to Enniscrone, we will spot such sites as the SS Crete Boom and breathtaking views of the Atlantic coast.
Enniscrone
Once we arrive in Enniscrone, it will be easy to see why this is the local seaside resort. With an endless stretch of golden beach, it has no equal in this region. There’s plenty to do here during our three hour stop with an Aqua Centre, seaweed baths, award-winning golf links, and plenty of places to eat. It’s also an expanding surfing paradise with great facilities for water enthusiasts.
Fr Peyton Centre
The afternoon will take us on a rural trek to Attymass to the Fr Peyton Centre. There, we will have the option of a brief tour detailing the life and story of the internationally renowned Irish Priest. There will be audio and visual displays to allow us to immerse ourselves in this deeply spiritual retreat.
Lough Talt and the Ox Mountains
We will complete the day with a short trip through the Windy Gap. Immersing ourselves in some amazing views, we will venture through the breathtaking landscape of Lough Talt and the Ox Mountains until we return to Ballina.
