Located about 10km from Ballina, this golf course has the wow factor as it’s built on the extensive sand dunes of the famous Enniscrone Beach. This lends to some stunning views of the coastline, the perfect backdrop for your next round of golf.


If you’re looking to go a bit further afield, there are several golf courses within an hour’s drive of Ballina. These include the local Ballina golf course, the award-winning Rosses Point just outside of Sligo, and the stunning Crane Course in Belmullet.

Visit the Fr Petton Centre – A Spiritual Retreat 

Located in Attymass and just a short distance outside Ballina, this spiritual retreat makes for a very interesting visit. Dedicated to the renowned Fr Peyton or ‘Rosary Priest’, it provides a peaceful atmosphere for tourists and pilgrims alike. Here, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Ox Mountains and relax as you learn more about the life and work of the impressive priest. If planning to visit, note that there is a modest entry fee but the visit will be well worth it.

Lough Talt and the Ox Mountains provides awe-inspiring views. These include a very special drive through a gap in the mountains on the way to the very beautiful Lake Talt. This drive is almost lunar-like and opens up to the lake. Depending on the time of day or season, you will witness as the lake transforms itself into different hues. These features, results of glacial erosion and deposition, are a must-see for any visitor.
